OUR STORY
Nat's New York Pizzeria's thin-crust, New York style pizza originated in Nat and Franco's Great, Great, Great Grandmothers' kitchens in Calabria, Italy, in the 1900's. Eventually, the pizza made its way, as many Italians did, to the Big Apple — New York City. In November 1991, cousins Nat and Franco traveled to Yonkers, New York to learn 100-year-old secret family recipes behind hand-tossed pizza and their famous sauce. They returned to Vancouver and proudly introduced their family's thin-crust pizza to Kitsilano in April 1992. The second store in Vancouver's West End neighborhood opened in January 2000. Nat's "Ah" Pizza has become a tradition in Kitsilano — as graduates of Kitsilano Secondary High School, Nat and Franco feel especially honoured that the local community has responded incredibly to their "home-make" style of cooking.
CHECK OUT SOME OF OUR REVIEWS FROM YELP ELITE WEEK:
"Nat's pizzeria is your quintessential community based pizzeria shop that not only delivers the big and fulfilling New York style pizza, but also fosters a real aspect of what it means to be part of the Kitsilano community.
To begin with, let's talk about the shop itself. Located in Broadway and McDonald, it's hard not to spot Nat's with its booming signs and traditional pizza promos all over the window. As soon as you walk in, the shop is filled with photos of the community, quirky NY signs and memorabilia along with the smell of freshly made pizza all over the place.
You're immediately greeted by the owners with a beaming smile who ready to serve you up some pizza. Everything above just elevated, what is usually a very uneventful experience, into one that is very enjoyable. This is what, in my opinion, makes Nat's pizzeria very unique..."

"When I'm in town I go to [Nat's New York Pizzeria] as often as possible....The first thing I do when I get off the plane in Vancouver is drive straight to Nat's and order a chicken parmesan hero. That's my favourite thing on earth! I first started eating here when I was a little kid. Then when I got to high school, I started coming every day."

"Best pie in the City and friendliest staff. Took my goddaughter, Italian, fresh of a flight from Rome: she knows her pizza and she raved about it! Favourite is pesto-artichoke, crave it all the time!"
